Reiki is a Japanese technique of stress reduction which promotes natural healing and well being. The way Reiki is practiced is by simply laying of hands. A simple basic Reiki Level 1 class gives you the tools to practice for yourself. Reiki is not a religious practice, anybody can learn it.

Reiki History

Reiki as we know it today can be traced back to Mikao Usui (1865 - 1925) who lived in Japan. In 1922 he had a profound  spiritual experience while on a fasting and Meditaion retreat which lead to the practice of what we call Reiki today. It was brought to the US by Mrs Takata in 1937. She practiced in Hawai and opened several clinics

There are many different schools/methods/ Lineage of teaching and learning Reiki. Usui/Holy Fire is one of them.

Reiki Healing

 Reiki works by re-balancing our Body's energy flow. Reiki is a Holistic Therapy which can help treat all forms of stress, physical injury, and various emotional Issues. It complements Modern Medicine and promotes recovery. Research evidence suggests Reiki practice down-regulates the nervous system, moving the receiver into parasympathetic dominance, also know as the rest and digest phase. When you shift to this calm and peaceful phase,you relax and heal naturally.

Reiki is based on the idea that the flow of a life force energy is what keeps us well and alive. It is Spiritual in nature and Balances at every level.
